Macon County Route C Will Open to Traffic While Work Continues on ADA Improvements

MACON – This evening, Tuesday, July 21, Macon County Route C in Bevier will open back up to traffic after closing on May 27 for continued work on the project to bring it into compliance with the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA). The road has been closed between the BNSF railroad tracks and Beaubien Street, while new concrete pavement and drainage were constructed.

Pavement Solutions of St. Peters, Missouri, was the contractor on the project.

As you approach a work zone, please don’t drive distracted.  Always buckle up and put your phone down for your safety and the safety of highway workers.  All work zones are online at www.modot.org, and you can receive the latest news about road work in your area by signing up for e-updates.
