Resurfacing Project Set to Begin on Macon County Route O Near Loves Truck Stop

MACON – Weather permitting, the week of July 20, crews will begin a reconstruction project on Macon County Route O between U.S. Route 36 and Love’s Truck Stop.

“The project will include milling out the surface of the existing pavement and replacing it due to extreme deterioration from large truck traffic,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Brian Untiedt.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zone while the work is completed. Short term closures of the interchange ramps are expected while the work is completed. Most of the work will be completed at night. Please obey all work zone signs and personnel.  Message boards will be up to notify motorists of the upcoming work.

Emery Sapp and Sons, of Columbia, Missouri, was awarded the project. They have 30 days to complete the project.
