Pike County Route U at Peno Creek set to open

HANNIBAL- After being closed for a bridge replacement project since April 27, Pike County Route U will open on July 15 at Peno Creek, located one mile west of U.S. Route 61 near Bowling Green.

The contract for this project also includes two additional bridge replacements located on Route C, over Crooked Branch, 2 miles west of Route E near Frankford and on Route U (Old U.S. Route 61) 0.2 miles west of U.S. Route 61 near Bowling Green. It was awarded earlier this year to Bleigh Construction Company of Hannibal, Missouri who submitted the low bid of $1,897,582.  These bridges are included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
