ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Department of Transportation will limit most work zones this weekend to aid travel during the July 4 holiday weekend.
With one exception, crews will limit any temporary lane closure between noon Thursday, July 2 and 5 a.m. Monday, July 6. Crews will have one left lane closed on eastbound and westbound Interstate 270 near Old Halls Ferry Road between 5 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday, July 3.
Work zones with permanent lane closures (such as eastbound and westbound I-44 at Jefferson) will remain in place. Crews may have to close lanes for short times for priority work for issues that might impact the safety of the driving public.
On Monday, June 6, crews will close access from northbound I-55 to westbound I-44 between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning to shift westbound I-44 traffic to the new eastbound bridge at Jefferson.
For more on roadway closures due to construction, additional work zone information and real-time roadway weather conditions go to http://traveler.modot.org/map. For real-time traffic, visit www.gatewayguide.com. All work is subject to change and may be shifted due to inclement weather.
