PULASKI COUNTY – As part of a resurfacing and shoulder work project in Miller and Pulaski counties, contractors working for the Missouri Department of Transportation will be making safety improvements along the Route U bridge over Tavern Creek.
The bridge, located north of Crocker, will be closed on Tuesday, July 7 and is scheduled to re-open in early August. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes during the construction work.
Work taking place includes widening the roadway and upgrading guardrails on the bridge. MoDOT says these improvements will increase safety for motorists.
MoDOT also advises motorists to watch for nearby lane closures, as crews will also be making paving shoulders near the bridge. Flaggers will guide traffic through these work zones. This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
