U.S. Route 36 in St. Joseph closed from 10th Street to 22nd Street

ST JOSEPH, Mo. – Buchanan County U.S. Route 36 east and westbound from 10th Street to 22nd Street, is now closed due to an overturned livestock truck and loose cattle. The roadway could be closed throughout the morning. Crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation are assisting the Missouri State Highway Patrol at the scene. Until the roadway is reopened, motorists must use a different route.

Motorist are urged to stay alert and pay attention to all roadway signing and barricades and to eliminate distractions. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down.
