CARROLLTON, Mo. – Though it’s been closed since May 2, 2019, due to flooding, work to replace two washed out culverts on Route C between Routes D and F will be delayed one week. Originally, the project to replace the damaged culverts was slated to begin Monday, June 15, however weather delays have pushed the start date back one week to Monday, June 22.
The Missouri Department of Transportation contracted with Gene Haile Excavating, Inc. to replace the culverts at Turkey Creek and Branch of Turkey Creek. The road will remain closed through construction of the two new culverts and motorists will need to continue to use an alternate route until all work is complete. The contractor plans to have the road reopened on or before Nov. 1, 2020. All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones and to not move or drive around barricades.
