PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation is set to begin a sizeable resurfacing project on Route 9 and Prairie View Rd. in Platte County. The scope of the project will include traffic on Route 9 between Barry Rd. and Route 45.
The project will also impact traffic on Prairie View Rd. between Route 9 and 56th St. Preliminary/setup work will begin Monday, June 15. More details on lane closures/reductions will be forthcoming. This project is expected to be completed by Nov.1 All work is weather dependent.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
