Route 51 in Perry County Reduced for Bridge Inspections

Missouri Route 51 in Perry County will be reduced with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform bridge inspections.  

This is the Chester Bridge over the Mississippi River to Illinois.

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, June 15 through Tuesday, June 30. The work zone will be set-up for 24-hours a day. Work will be completed under one-lane traffic across bridge using temporary signals during the weekday. Both lanes will be open to traffic on the weekends.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
