MOUND CITY, Mo. – A section of Holt County Route E is scheduled to close twice next week as part of the Interstate 29 bridge deck replacement projects over Kimsey Creek and Route E, located south of Mound City. Contractors from Clarkson Construction Company, working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will close Route E on Tuesday, June 16 and Friday, June 19, in order to pour the new I-29 bridge deck. The roadway will remain closed from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. During each closure, motorists must use an alternate route.
These bridges are included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
All work is weather-permitting and schedules are subject to change. Motorists are urged to stay alert and pay attention to all roadway signing and barricades and to eliminate distractions. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
