Route 54 Safety Upgrades to Temporarily Close Heritage Highway Entrance

COLE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation is alerting motorists of a Route 54 entrance closure taking place as part of the resurfacing and guard cable installation project south of Jefferson City.

On Friday, June 12, a contractor working for MoDOT will be installing guardrails along the intersection of Route 54 and Heritage Highway. This work will require closing westbound access to Route 54 from Heritage Highway between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m. that day.

Motorists are asked to find alternative routes during this work. Westbound Route 54 traffic will still have access to Heritage Highway.

This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
