Paving project on Route 9 in Platte and Clay Counties continues

CLAY/PLATTE COUNTIES– The Missouri Department of Transportation is continuing an extensive daytime and nighttime asphalt paving and guardrail improvement project along Route 9 in Clay and Platte Counties.

Crews will make the following traffic changes as part of the project. All work is weather dependent.

Crews will close the Route 169 southbound ramp to Route 9 southbound from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday, June 8 for high friction surface treatment work. This a complete closure of the ramp.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
