Cost-Share project for interchange lighting improvements awarded in Lewis County

HANNIBAL - On June 3, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a contract to Gerstner Electric, Inc. of Fenton, Missouri, for a lighting improvement project in Lewis County. The project is located at the U.S. Route 61 and Route P interchange in Canton. This is a cost-share project with the city of Canton contributing $50,000 towards the total project amount of $112,959.

A more specific schedule will be shared after the contractor provides their plan for completing the work.  Work on this project will take place this year and be completed by December 1, 2020. When a start date is established, MoDOT will alert the public about the project through signs, news releases and social media.
