TRAFFIC ALERT: I-44 Traffic Slowed/Stopped and Ramp Closures West of Springfield June 4-6

What: Contractor crews resurfacing I-44 will slow and possibly stop traffic at the Missouri Route 360 interchange (Mile Marker 69) and CLOSE the on and off ramps at the Greene County Route B/MM interchange (Mile Marker 70) west of Springfield June 4-6

Where and When:

  • 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. Thursday – Friday, June 4-5, I-44 eastbound traffic slowed and possibly stopped at the Missouri Route 360 interchange (Mile Marker 69)
  • 1 a.m. until 3 a.m. Friday, June 5 – I-44 eastbound on and off ramps CLOSED at Greene County Route B/MM interchange (Mile Marker 70)
  • 1 a.m. until 3 a.m. Saturday, June 6 – I-44 westbound on and off ramps CLOSED at Greene County Route B/MM interchange (Mile Marker 70)
  • 2 a.m. until 5 a.m. Saturday, June 6 – I-44 westbound traffic slowed and possibly stopped at the Missouri Route 360 interchange (Mile Marker 69)

Traffic Impacts:

  • Drivers should be prepared for traffic to be slowed or stopped at the Missouri Route 360 interchange
  • Drivers will not be able to enter eastbound and westbound I-44 from Greene County Route B/MM or leave eastbound and westbound I-44 at Greene County Route B/MM when crews are paving at the interchange
  • Drivers can reach their destinations by using interchanges on either side of the Route B/MM interchange
  • Drivers urged to find alternate routes

Details: Work is part of a larger project to resurface I-44, lengthen interchange ramps and install new guardrail between Lawrence County Route Z/O near Halltown (Mile Marker 58) and Missouri Route 266/Chestnut Expressway (Mile Marker 72) west of Springfield.
