Chip seal project to close Daviess County Route B

COFFEY, Mo. – A chip seal project will close Daviess County Route B tomorrow. Crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation will close Route B from Interstate 35 to Route 190 tomorrow, Thursday, June 4 at 6 a.m. Crews anticipate reopening the roadway by, or before 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 5. The roadway will remain closed to traffic overnight.

During the closure, motorists must use an alternate route. MoDOT does its best to be good stewards of the monies provided by taxpayers. One of the ways is to employ many preventative maintenance methods, such as chip seals.

All work is weather-permitting and schedules are subject to change. Motorists are urged to stay alert and pay attention to all roadway signing and barricades and to eliminate distractions. Crews will be working close to traffic. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
