Daviess County Route B closure extended

COFFEY, Mo. – Local maintenance crews from the Missouri Department of Transportation closed Daviess County Route B, 0.4 miles east of Coffey, on Thursday, May 28, due to a culvert washout. Crews hoped water levels in the culvert would recede allowing them to make repairs and reopen the roadway today, Friday, May 29, but levels have remained high causing crews to extend the closure of Route B through Tuesday, June 2 at 3 p.m.

The road is closed between Route 13 and 230th Street. During the closure, motorists will need to use an alternate route.

All work is weather-permitting and schedules are subject to change. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones and to not move or drive around barricades.
