PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation has begun an extensive resurfacing, guardrail and guard cable improvement project on multiple lettered routes in Platte County. MoDOT Kansas City will make the following traffic changes as part of the project. All work is weather dependent.

- Crews will reduce eastbound and westbound Route JJ down to one lane between 45 Highway and Rock St. from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, May 30 for asphalt resurfacing work
*Note: A flagger operation and pilot car will be utilized to help direct traffic in each work zones.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
