Crews ser to egin extensive road improvement project in Platte Co

PLATTE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will soon begin an extensive resurfacing, guardrail and guard cable improvement project on multiple lettered routes in Platte County. MoDOT Kansas City will make the following traffic changes as part of the project. All work is weather dependent.

Crews will reduce northbound and southbound Route Y between First St. and the Buchannan County line to one lane from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily, beginning Wednesday, May 27 and continuing until Thursday, June 4 for road repair work

Crews will reduce northbound and southbound Rout H between 45 Highway, just north of Weston, MO. and 371 Highway to one lane from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily, beginning Wednesday, May 27 and continuing until Monday, June 22 for road repair work

Crews will reduce northbound and southbound Route H between 371 Highway and I-29, just west of Dearborn, MO. to one lane from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily, beginning Thursday, May 28 and continuing until Thursday, June 11 for road repair work 

*Note: A flagger operation and pilot car will be utilized to help direct traffic in the work zones.

 

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
