SIKESTON - Southbound Interstate 55 in Cape Girardeau and Scott Counties will be reduced with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform pavement improvements.
This section of roadway is located from mile marker 95 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to mile marker 80 near Benton, Missouri.
Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, June 1 to Friday, Oct. 1 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., daily.
The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
