MACON – Weather permitting, Wednesday, May 27, Macon County Route C in Bevier will close at 7:00 a.m. for continued work on the project to bring it into compliance with the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA). The closure will occur between the BNSF railroad tracks and Beaubien Street, while new sidewalks and curb ramps, along with new concrete pavement and curb and gutter are constructed.
Pavement Solutions of St. Peters, Missouri, is the contractor on the project and will have 45 days to complete the closure part of the project. Once this section is completed, the road will be reopened to traffic to finish the remainder of the ADA project.
Motorists will need to use alternate routes during this closure. Signs will be in place to let motorists know of the closure. Please obey all work zone signs and personnel, and put your cell phone down to help eliminate distractions.
