FOREST CITY, Mo. – Amidst the flooding that devastated communities in Northwest Missouri during 2019, a slide developed on Route T in Holt County just south of Forest City. Route T near Mill Bluff Road has been closed while the Missouri Department of Transportation conducted an extensive geological investigation and roadway redesign. Based on the geology, and to avoid expensive repairs if the road remained in its current alignment, a project to shift the road slightly onto a more stable rock base, is set to begin soon.
MoDOT has contracted with Amino Bros. Co., Inc. to complete the project. The contractor is scheduled to begin work May 19, 2020 and plans to have the road reopened to all traffic by Aug. 17, 2020.
All work is weather-permitting and schedules are subject to change. Drivers are urged to stay alert and pay attention to all roadway signing and barricades. Please remember that all roads are No Phone zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
