Scrub seal repairs planned in Northwest Missouri

MARYVILLE, Mo. – Repairs to three scrub seal projects completed in 2019 are scheduled to be finished this month. Contractors from Vance Brothers, Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, will begin making repairs on Nodaway County U.S. Route 71 from U.S. Route 136 east of Burlington Junction to Wilcox this week. Crews anticipate beginning repairs on Wednesday, May 13 and continuing through Friday, May 15.

Beginning the week of May 18, crews will spend two days repairing the section of U.S. Route 136 from Albany (Gentry County) to New Hampton (Harrison County) followed by one day of repairs to DeKalb County Route Z in King City. All work is expected to be complete prior to May 29.

All work is weather permitting, and schedules are subject to change. Crews plan to work during daylight hours. A flagger and pilot car will be used to guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists are urged to stay alert and pay attention to all roadway signing and barricades and to eliminate distractions. Crews will be working close to traffic. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive.
