Extensive paving project continues on Route 9

CLAY/PLATTE COUNTIES – The Missouri Department of Transportation has begun an extensive daytime and nighttime asphalt paving and guardrail improvement project along Route 9 in Clay and Platte Counties, which started Monday, April 20 and will continue until at least Friday, May15. Crews will make the following traffic changes as part of the project. All work is weather dependent.

Crews will close the on and off ramps at Route 9 and Riverway Blvd/US69 from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. nightly, beginning Wednesday, April 29 until Friday, May 1 for completing asphalt paving work

Crews will close Riverway Blvd/US 69 at Route 9 from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. nightly, beginning Wednesday, April 29 until Friday, May 1for completing asphalt paving work.

Crews will close all roundabouts and ramps at NW Briarcliff Pkwy and Route 9 from 6 p.m. Friday, May 1 until 10 p.m. Sunday, May 3 for completing asphalt paving work - *This will be a 24/7 closure for the duration of this paving work          

 

**Additional lane and ramp closures are expected throughout the duration of this project. MoDOT will keep motorists posted to any new updates.

 

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
