Bridge Painting Projects Set to Begin on Macon County Routes DD & J

MACON – Weather permitting, Wednesday, May 27, Omega Coatings and Construction, LLC, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, plans to begin the bridge painting projects on Macon County Route DD at Middle Fork Salt River, located approximately three miles east of U.S. Route 63, and Macon County Route J at Middle Fork Chariton River, located 0.6 mile west of Macon County Route O near Plainview. The costs of these projects are approximately $63,000 and $32,000.

Both bridges will be closed to traffic while work is completed. Motorists will need to use alternate routes during this time. Signs will be in place to let motorists know of the closure. The contractor has 30 days to complete each bridge.
