North Lincoln Drive Crossing to Temporarily Close North of Troy

HANNIBAL – Weather permitting, temporary widening and safety improvements at North Lincoln Drive, in Lincoln County just north of Troy, will begin on Wednesday, May 6, and will result in the median crossover at U.S. Route 61 to be temporarily closed up to three days.  Drivers will still be able to turn right in from the north and right out going south at North Lincoln Drive.  For other movements at North Lincoln Drive, motorists will need to go to the U.S. 61/MO 47 interchange in Troy.

“We are widening the crossover and adding pavement to the northbound lane to set up the roadway for the next stage of construction on the new Cuivre River bridges,” explained Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer Erik Maninga.

Maninga added these improvements are included as part of the bridge replacement project on U.S. 61 at Cuivre River north of Troy.  The contractor for these projects is KCI Construction Company.
