Morgan County Route J and Route W Will Undergo Resurfacing

MORGAN COUNTY – Two routes in Morgan County will be part of a pavement improvement project this summer.

Crews working for the Missouri Department of Transportation will resurface and widen the shoulders of Morgan County Route W, between Versailles city limits and Miller County Route Y, and will resurface the entire length of Morgan County Route J.

Beginning Monday, May 4, crews will have various lane closures on Route W between Versailles and Route Y in order to resurface the roadway, widen its shoulders and add rumble strips.

Once work has been completed on Route W, crews will begin resurfacing the entire length of Route J in Morgan County, which will also include various lane closures. The entire project is expected to be completed by November 1.

Flaggers and a pilot car will guide motorists through the work zones. Motorists are asked to slow down, pay attention and put away distractions in work zones.

This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
