Bridge Painting Projects Set to Begin in Macon and Shelby County

MACON – Weather permitting, Thursday, May 7, Omega Coatings and Construction, LLC, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, plans to begin the bridge painting projects in Macon and Shelby County. They will begin work on Macon County Route M at Middle Fork Salt River Bridge, located 0.6 mile west of Macon County Route O near Plainview, and Missouri Route 151 in Shelby County at North Fork Salt River Bridge, located west of Hagers Grove. The costs of these projects are approximately $89,000 and $101,000.

These bridges will be reduced to one lane with flaggers present for traffic control while work is completed. Please use caution if you must travel through these areas and obey all work zone signs. The contractor has 30 days to complete each bridge.

Bridge painting is also planned for Macon County Route J and Macon County Route DD which will result in those roads closing. We will share more specific information on the start of those projects once it is provided.
