ST. LOUIS – This week is Work Zone Awareness Week and motorists are encouraged to pay attention, slow down and not drive distracted as crews continue to repair and maintain the state roads throughout the St. Louis region. Although traffic levels are currently lighter than normal, department officials and local law enforcement continue to see an increase in speeds. In addition, much of the existing work will remain in place through the remainder of the year, after many of the stay-at-home restrictions have been lifted.
For more on roadway closures due to construction, additional work zone information and real-time roadway weather conditions go to http://traveler.modot.org/map. For real-time traffic, visit www.gatewayguide.com. All work is subject to change and may be shifted due to inclement weather.
