CLAY/PLATTE COUNTIES – The Missouri Department of Transportation will begin an extensive daytime and nighttime asphalt paving and guardrail improvement project along Route 9 in Clay and Platte Counties beginning Monday, April 20 and continuing until at least Friday, May15. Crews will make the following traffic changes as part of the project. All work is weather dependent.
Crews will close various lanes and ramps of southbound and northbound Route 9 between I-635 and North Oak Trafficway from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. daily, beginning Monday, April 20 until Friday, May 15 for paving work
Crew will close various lanes and ramps of southbound and northbound Route 9 between I-635 and North Oak Trafficway from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. nightly, beginning Tuesday, April 21 and continuing until Friday, May 8 for paving work
Crews will close the Route 169 southbound ramp to Route 9 south from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m., Monday, April 20 and again Tuesday, April 21 for guardrail work
Crews will the Route 169 southbound ramp to Route 9 southbound from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m. Wednesday, April 22 and again Thursday, April 23 for guardrail work
**Additional lane and ramp closures are expected. MoDOT will keep motorists posted to any new updates.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
