MACON – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission recently awarded a contract for bridge work on Missouri Route 151 in Shelby County.  The contract was awarded to Omega Coatings and Construction, LLC, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, for bridge painting on North Fork Salt River Bridge, located west of Hagers Grove on MO 151. The contract for bridge painting is approximately $101,000.  The contractor has 30 calendar days to complete this project.

The bridge will remain with one lane open while the work is completed. Work could begin as early as this summer and should be completed by fall.

“We will be able to provide a more specific schedule on this bridge project once the contractor provides the plans for completing the work,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Brian Untiedt.
