Henry County – Drivers can expect one-lane traffic and possible delays during a resurfacing project along Missouri Route 7 east of Clinton beginning the week of April 13, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Contractor crews will lay new asphalt and install edgeline rumble strips along a 14-mile stretch of the highway between Missouri Route 13 in Clinton and Henry County Route PP in Tightwad. In addition, the bridge over Deer Creek east of Clinton will receive new guardrail at both ends of the bridge.
Traffic Impacts:
- One-lane traffic with flaggers and pilot vehicles where crews are working
- Drivers on side roads should wait for pilot cars before entering areas where resurfacing is being done
- Use caution when traveling through the work zone and watch for crews and equipment on the road
- No signed detours
- Drivers are urged to find alternate routes around the work zone
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the work zone
Weather and/or scheduling delays will alter the work schedule.

- Prime contractor: Capital Paving and Construction, Columbia
- Total construction cost: $1.9 million
- Contract completion date: November 1, 2020 (However, the contractor expects to be finished by late May)
