TRAFFIC ALERT: Route 571-to-Southbound I-49 Ramp CLOSED at Night April 7 & 8 for Guardrail Work

What: Missouri Route 571 (Central Avenue)-to-southbound I-49 ramp (Exit 53) in Carthage CLOSED

When: 8 p.m.-5 a.m., Tuesday-Wednesday, April 7-8. Ramp open during daytime hours.

Why: Contractor crews installing guardrail as part of a resurfacing project on I-49 between Lamar and I-44 east of Joplin

Traffic Impacts:

  • Route 571-to-southbound I-49 ramp (Exit 53) CLOSED at night
  • All ramps open during daytime hours
  • Drivers are urged to find alternate routes
  • Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the closures

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
