Missouri Route 64/Lindley Creek Bridge Rehabilitation Project Begins Week of April 20

Polk County – Missouri Route 64 will CLOSE ‘round the clock over Lindley Creek west of Louisburg beginning the week of April 20 for a bridge rehabilitation project, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Contractor crews plan to remove deteriorating concrete from the bridge deck/driving surface and replace it with a new driving surface.

In addition to the new driving surface, the contractor will install new guardrail on either end of the bridge.

Traffic Impacts:

  • Route 64 CLOSED at the bridge over Lindley Creek
  • Signed detour using Polk County Routes D, C and P. Detour map and other project information.
  • Drivers can get to entrances on either end of the closure. However, they will not be able to cross the bridge during construction.
  • Road signs and message boards will alert drivers to the bridge closure.

Contractor crews expect the Route 64 project to be completed by early June.

In addition to this project, Missouri Route 13 southbound bridge over the North Dry Sac River south of Bolivar will receive a new driving surface. That project is scheduled to being in June. More information will be announced about the Route 13 project closer to the start date of the project.

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
