MoDOT set to begin resurfacing project on Route C in Ray County

RAY COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will soon begin a three-week resurfacing project on Route C in Ray County. All work is weather dependent.

Crews will close at least one lane of either northbound or southbound Route C between Route 10 and Route U from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. daily beginning Monday, April 6 and continuing through Monday, April 27 for resurfacing work. A flagger operation and pilot car will be utilized to help direct traffic in the work zone.

Originally, this work was scheduled to begin Monday, March 16 but was postponed due to inclement weather conditions.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
