I-44 Pavement Repairs to Begin Next Week Across Several Counties

CRAWFORD COUNTY – Motorists will see crews out along Interstate 44 over the next several months as repairs are made to the driving surface.

A contractor for the Missouri Department of Transportation will be making pavement improvements in both directions along Interstate 44. starting in Crawford County on Monday, March 30. Crews will then perform similar repairs in Laclede, Phelps and Pulaski Counties. This work is expected to be completed by October 1.

There will likely be some single lane closures at various locations as ork takes place. Any needed lane closures will occur between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Signs will alert motorists in advance of any impacts to traffic.

Motorists are asked to slow down in work zones, pay attention and watch for crews.
