Lane and Ramp Closures Scheduled for Portions of I-435 Beginning March 29

JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation will be completing diamond grinding and jobsite cleanup along portions of I-435 that will require the CLOSURE of various lanes and ramps between Three Trails Crossing to State Line beginning Sunday, March 29. These closures will have impacts to traffic. The information on the closures is listed below by date range. All work is weather permitting.

Sunday, March 29

  • Crews will CLOSE the two left most lanes of westbound I-435 from the Grandview Rd. bridge to Holmes Rd. from approximately 4 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.

Monday, March 30

  • Crews will CLOSE the left lane of eastbound I-435 just before the Grandview Rd. bridge to northbound I-435 from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Crews will also close the three left most lanes along westbound I-435 from 104th St. to Wornall Rd. from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.

Tuesday, March 31

  • Crews will CLOSE the southbound State Line Rd. loop ramp to eastbound I-435 from approximately 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
  • The two right most lanes of eastbound I-435 will be CLOSED from State Line Rd. to the Blue River beginning at 7 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
  • Crews will CLOSE the Wornall Rd. on ramp to eastbound I-435 from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
  • Crews will also CLOSE the eastbound I-435 off ramp to Holmes Rd. from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
  • The left lane of westbound I-435 will be CLOSED between Holmes Rd. to just past Wornall Rd. from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Wednesday, April 1

  • Crews will CLOSE the southbound State Line Rd. loop ramp to eastbound I-435 from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
  • The two right most lanes of eastbound I-435 will be CLOSED from State Line Rd. to the Blue Rive from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
  • Crews will CLOSE the Wornall Rd. on ramp to eastbound I-435 from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
  • Crews will also CLOSE the eastbound I-435 off ramp to Holmes Rd. from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Thursday, April 2

  • Crews will CLOSE the two right most lanes of westbound I-435 from Holmes Rd. to State Line Rd. from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
  • Crews will CLOSE the westbound I-435 off ramp to Wornall Rd. from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
  • Crews will CLOSE the westbound I-435 on ramp from Wornall Rd. from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning.
  • Crews will also CLOSE the westbound I-435 off ramp to State Line Rd. from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Motorists should expect delays during this time. The project is scheduled to be completed sometime in spring 2020. All work is weather permitting.

This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project which will replace the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitate the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, upgrade the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane.
