Greene County Route FF and Missouri Route 413 Resurfacing Plan

Set to Begin Week of March 30 With Work on Route FF in Battlefield

Greene County -- A project to resurface Greene County Route FF in Battlefield and Missouri Route 413 west of Springfield is set to begin the week of March 30, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The plans call for resurfacing Greene County Route FF between U.S. Route 60 and Weaver Road in Battlefield. In addition, Missouri Route 413 between Missouri Route 360 in Republic and Missouri Route 13 in Springfield will be resurfaced.

Here's a look at the project details:

  • Greene County Route FF – Route FF will receive a new asphalt driving surface between U.S. Route 60 and Weaver Road in Battlefield. The total length of the project is two (2) miles.
    • Drivers can expect nighttime lane closings in the intersection of Republic Road/Route FF from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday into Monday, April 5-6.
    • The rest of the paving project will occur during daytime hours. Drivers can expect lane closings on Route FF between 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Drivers can expect slowdowns and congestions where crews are set up working. If possible, avoid the area until the project is complete sometime around the middle of April.
    • Drivers can expect delays at intersections with traffic signals. The signals will be placed in pre-timed settings until new detection loops can installed after the project is complete.
    • Project includes sidewalks and upgrading guardrail
    • Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the construction
  • Missouri Route 413 – Route 413 will receive a new asphalt driving surface between Missouri Route 360 in Republic and Missouri Route 13 in Springfield. The total length of the project is five (5) miles.
    • Drivers can expect nighttime lane closings on Route 413
    • Crews will be on the road between 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Sunday night, April 12, through mid-to-late April
    • Project includes upgrading guardrail
    • Drivers can expect bright lights and crews and equipment near traffic during the work.
    • Drivers can expect delays at intersections with traffic signals. The signals will be placed in pre-timed settings until new detection loops can installed after the project is complete.
    • Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the construction

(Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule) 

Blevins Asphalt Construction Co. of Mt. Vernon is doing the work for a low bid amount of $1,645,000.

The projects are scheduled for completion by Nov. 1, 2020. However, the contractor expects to be completed with the projects by late April/early May.
