Lane and Ramp Closures Scheduled for Portions of I-435 Beginning March 23

JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation will be completing median barrier wall replacement and sign installations along portions of I-435 that will require the CLOSURE of various lanes and ramps between Three Trails Crossing to State Line beginning Monday, March 23. These closures will have impacts to traffic. The information on the closures is listed below by date range. All work is weather permitting.

Monday, March 23 – Friday, March 27

  • Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, March 23, crews will CLOSE the left lane of eastbound I-435 just before Grandview Rd. bridge to northbound I-435. This closure will remain in place until 5 p.m. on FRIDAY, March 27.
    • Crews will also CLOSE the second lane on the left hand side of eastbound I-435 just before Grandview Rd. to northbound I-435. This closure will remain in place until 2 p.m. the same day.
  • Crews will CLOSE the ramp from southbound State Line Rd. to eastbound I-435 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Crews will CLOSE the right most lane of eastbound I-435 from State Line Rd. to the Blue River from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Crews will CLOSE the left most lane of westbound I-435 just before Grandview Rd. bridge from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Additionally on Friday, March 27, crews will extend the left lane closure along westbound I-435 just before Grandview Rd. bridge to Holmes Rd. At this time, the two left most lanes of westbound I-435 will be CLOSED from Holmes Rd. to State Line Rd. until 3 p.m. that afternoon.

Motorists should expect delays during this time. The project is scheduled to be completed sometime in spring 2020. All work is weather permitting.

This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project which will replace the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitate the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, upgrade the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane.
