Lane and Ramp Closures Scheduled for Portions of I-435 Beginning March 16

JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation will be completing sign truss work along portions of I-435 that will require the CLOSURE of various lanes and ramps between Three Trails Crossing to State Line beginning Monday, March 16. There will also be a rolling road block at approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17. These closures will have impacts to traffic. The information on the closures is listed below by date range. All work is weather permitting.

Monday, March 16

  • Crews will CLOSE the Wornall Rd. exit ramp to eastbound I-435 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for sign truss work.
  • Crews will CLOSE the loop ramp from State Line Rd. and Developed Lane to Wornall Rd. from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for sign truss work.
  • Crews will CLOSE the two left most lanes of westbound I-435 between Holmes Rd. to State Line Rd. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for sign truss work.

Tuesday, March 17

  • Crews will CLOSE the two right most lanes along westbound I-435 between Holmes Rd. and Wornall Rd. from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. for sign truss work.
  • Crews will CLOSE the on ramp from Holmes Rd. to westbound I-435, as well as the westbound I-435 off ramp to Wornall Rd. from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. for sign truss work.
  • Beginning at approximately 10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, there will be a rolling road block along westbound I-435 starting from approximately Three Trails Crossing to State Line Rd. to allow for sign installation. Motorists will be stopped at this time.

Wednesday, March 18

  • Crews will CLOSE the two right most lanes along westbound I-435 from Wornall Rd. to the State Line Rd. exit from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. for sign truss work.
  • Crews will CLOSE the westbound I-435 on ramp from Wornall Rd. as well as the westbound I-435 off ramp to State Line Rd. from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. for sign truss work.
  • Beginning at approximately 10 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, there will be a rolling road block along westbound I-435 starting from approximately Three Trails Crossing to State Line Rd. to allow for sign installation. Motorists will be stopped at this time.

Motorists should expect delays during this time. The project is scheduled to be completed sometime in spring 2020. All work is weather permitting.

This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project which will replace the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitate the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, upgrade the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane.
