MoDOT Community Briefing Scheduled to Discuss Two Wayne County Bridge Projects

SIKESTON-The Missouri Department of Transportation plans to replace two Wayne County bridges—the Route A bridge over Small Creek near Greenville, Missouri, and the Route 34 bridge over Black River near Leeper, Missouri.

A community briefing will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 31 at the Greenville High School Library, located at 178 Walnut St., in Greenville, Missouri.

"Visitors can stop-by anytime between 4 and 6 p.m. to discuss the details of both projects with the MoDOT team,” said MoDOT Project Manager Pete Berry.

Construction of the Route A bridge over Small Creek could begin as early as spring 2021, with completion anticipated by fall 2021. As work is underway, the roadway will be closed in the vicinity of the bridge for approximately two months.

Construction of the Route 34 bridge over Black River could begin as early as spring 2022, with completion anticipated by winter 2022. As work is underway, the roadway will be closed in the vicinity of the bridge for approximately six months.
