Benton County – Drivers should look for alternate routes when Missouri Route 82 at the Hogles Creek bridge near Harper is CLOSED the week of March 16, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
Contractor crews will remove the bridge deck/driving surface and replace it with a new surface.
Traffic impacts:
- Route 82 CLOSED at Hogles Creek bridge for up to two months
- Drivers will have access to entrances at either end of the bridge, but will not be able to cross the bridge during the project
- No signed detours are planned
- Drivers urged to find alternate routes around the work zone
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zones
The current bridge was built in 1966 and carries approximately 465 vehicles per day.
This is part of a larger project that includes repairing the driving surface of the Main Street bridge over U.S. Route 65 in Warsaw and two culverts – one on Benton County Route MM at White Branch south of Warsaw and the other on Benton County Route H at Brickley Hollow near Edmondson.
Weather and/or scheduling issues could alter the work schedule.
