SALINE COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will close lanes on east and westbound Interstate 70 from the Lafayette County line to Blackwater River Bridge beginning Monday, March 16.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane at various locations for pavement repairs, resurfacing and guardrail installation. This work will begin on March 16 and is scheduled to be complete by Nov. 1, 2020. All work is weather dependent.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
