JACKSON COUNTY –The Missouri Department of Transportation will be completing a variety of work that will require the CLOSURE of various lanes and ramps along portions of I-435 between Three Trails Crossing to State Line next week beginning on Thursday, Feb. 27. These closures will have impacts to traffic. The information on the closures is listed below by date range. All work is weather permitting.
Thursday, Feb. 27
- Crews will CLOSE the right most lane of eastbound I-435 between Holmes and Blue River Bridge beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27 until 7 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 28.
Thursday, Feb. 27 – March 2
- Crews will CLOSE the eastbound 104th Street on-ramp to eastbound I-435 beginning at 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, March 2.
Friday, Feb. 28 – Monday, March 2
- Crews will CLOSE two lanes of eastbound I-435 between Holmes and Blue River Bridge beginning at 7 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, until approximately 1 p.m. on Monday, March 2.
Friday, Feb. 28
- NEW: Crews will CLOSE the ramp from Wornall Rd. to eastbound I-435 as well as the auxiliary lane up to the eastbound I-435 off ramp at Holmes Rd. beginning at 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28 for slide repair work.
- The eastbound I-435 off ramp at Holmes Rd. will remain open.
Saturday, Feb. 29
- NEW: Crews will CLOSE the ramp from Wornall Rd. to eastbound I-435 as well as the auxiliary lane up to the eastbound I-435 off ramp at Holmes Rd. beginning at 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 29 for slide repair work.
- The eastbound I-435 off ramp at Holmes Rd. will remain open.
Monday, March 2
- NEW: Crews will CLOSE the ramp from Wornall Rd. to eastbound I-435 as well as the auxiliary lane up to the eastbound I-435 off ramp at Holmes Rd. beginning at 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Monday, March 2 for slide repair work.
- The eastbound I-435 off ramp at Holmes Rd. will remain open.
Motorists should expect delays during this time. The project is scheduled to be completed sometime in spring 2020. All work is weather permitting.

This work is part of the I-435 South Loop Link project which will replace the bridges at Wornall and Holmes, rehabilitate the bridges at 104th Street and the Blue River, upgrade the pavement on I-435 which includes adding another lane.
