TRAFFIC ALERT: Southbound I-49 Reduced to One Lane With Reduced Speed Limit

North of Nevada at Little Osage River for Bridge Repair Feb. 21-27

Where: Southbound I-49 bridge at Little Osage River north of Nevada in Vernon County (Mile Marker 113)

When: ‘Round the clock immediately and lasting until Thursday, Feb. 27

What: MoDOT crews repairing bridge expansion joint (bridge component connecting bridge to pavement)

Traffic Impacts:

  • One southbound lane of I-49 closed where crews are working. One southbound lane will remain open at all times.
  • Lane will remain closed ‘round the clock due to the nature of the repairs
  • Speed limit reduced to 50 mph
  • Drivers should expect delays

 

Details: MoDOT crews will begin repairs on Monday morning, Feb. 24

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
