St. Louis Work Zones for February 20 - 26

ST. LOUIS – Motorists on Interstate 44 should prepare for lane closures as well as a traffic shift in St. Louis city and county starting this weekend.

On Saturday, February 22, from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. crews will close two I-44 eastbound and westbound lanes on the Meramec River Bridge just west of I-270. Also, weather permitting on Sunday, February 23, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., crews will shift three I-44 eastbound lanes onto the westbound lanes at Jefferson. When complete, traffic will have three eastbound lanes and two westbound lanes on the westbound bridge. This traffic shift will remain until the end of this year. In addition, crews will close the eastbound I-44 entry ramp from Jefferson during the traffic shift.

Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

  • I-44, St. Louis City, Lafayette ramp to westbound I-44 closed until late 2020.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, Jefferson ramp to eastbound I-44 closed starting Sunday, February 23 until July 2020.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, three eastbound lanes traffic shift onto westbound lanes at Jefferson until December 2020.
  • I-44, St. Louis City, two left westbound lanes closed from Jefferson to Nebraska starting Sunday, February 16 at 7 a.m. until late 2020.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, one lane closed westbound between I-270 and Bowles through early 2022.
  • Route 109, St. Louis County, one lane closed in each direction through late spring.
  • Route K, St. Charles County, one lane closed weekdays at East Terra Lane from Sonderen to Route K until late spring.

  • I-55, St. Louis City, 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., northbound ramp to 7th/Park will be closed.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., northbound ramp to Gravois/Russel will be closed.
  • I-55, St. Louis City, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., southbound ramp to 7th Street will be closed.
  • I-64, St. Louis City, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., eastbound ramp to 6th Street will be closed.
  • Route 100, St. Louis City, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Chouteau ramp from Broadway to 7th Street will be closed.
  • I-44, St. Louis County, 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., two lanes closed eastbound and westbound on the Meramec River Bridge just west of I-270.

 

Sunday, February 23

 

  • I-44, St. Louis City, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., traffic shift three eastbound lanes onto the westbound bridge at Jefferson until late 2020.
