JACKSON COUNTY – MoDOT Kansas City will have various lane and ramp closures near the I-70 and I-435 interchange beginning on Monday, Feb. 10. This work will have impacts to traffic. All work is weather permitting.
- MoDOT plans to CLOSE the off ramp from eastbound I-70 to eastbound Blue Ridge Cutoff for pavement construction beginning to Monday, Feb. 10 until summer 2020. This was originally scheduled for Monday, Feb. 3 but has been rescheduled. This ramp closure will have impacts on fans headed to Kauffman Stadium this season. Motorists needing to go this direction are advised to exit eastbound I-70 at 31st Street/U.S. 40 Highway and continue east until intersecting with Blue Ridge Cutoff.
- The left lane of eastbound I-70 from I-435 to Stadium Drive will be CLOSED for bridge construction daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Monday, Feb. 10 until Friday, Feb. 14.
- The ramp from southbound I-435 to westbound I-70 will be CLOSED OVERNIGHT for overhead sign truss work beginning at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 13, until approximately 5 a.m. the following morning.
This is all part of the I-435 and I-70 construction project and it will have significant impacts on traffic for two full construction seasons.
