Nixa, Christian County – Local residents, drivers, business owners and others are invited to learn more about proposed options for improving intersections on U.S. Route 160 at Christian County Routes AA and CC in Nixa during a February 18 public meeting, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The open house-style public meeting will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, at Nixa City Hall, 715 W. Mount Vernon (Missouri Route 14). MoDOT engineers will show various options for improving the intersections. Attendees can show up at any time during the meeting. NO formal presentation is planned.
Those unable to attend the in-person meeting can provide feedback by visiting an online meeting at www.modot.org/southwest. The online meeting will be available starting Tuesday afternoon, February 18, just prior to the in-person meeting.
During the public meeting, MoDOT experts will take comments and answer questions about various options for adding turn lanes and improving safety at the two intersections on the north side of Nixa.
The project is scheduled for construction in 2023.
