MACON – Weather permitting, High Prairie Wind Farm will temporarily close Adair County Route J and Schuyler County Route J for road work in preparation of the wind turbine deliveries. Below is the location and dates.

Adair County Route J – The road will be closed from Mule Train Way to Missouri Route 11. It will close at 7:00 a.m. on Feb. 17 and remain closed for approximately 3 weeks.

Schuyler County Route J – The road will be closed from March Avenue to Quail Avenue. It will close at 7:00 a.m. on Feb. 17 and remain closed for approximately 2 weeks.

Motorists will need to use alternate routes during the closure time. Please obey all work zones signs and personnel.

These are more routes in a series of closures planned for the High Prairie Windfarm Project.  Nineteen separate closures are planned, with last planned for the first of April.

Motorists in the area should be on alert and plan for the locations of the closures to change quickly. “The alternate route you took in the morning, may not work for you when you return in the evening,” said MoDOT Resident Engineer Shane Viers.
