MACON – Snow is expected to begin Wednesday afternoon in northeast Missouri and could create slippery driving conditions. Drivers are encouraged to plan accordingly and stay informed on rapidly changing weather conditions. “We will have our crews out in full force to once again battle precipitation, and we are ready,” said Missouri Department of Transportation District Engineer Paula Gough.
This is a slow-moving front, and there is the potential for precipitation from Wednesday into Friday. “We are expecting a variety of precipitation during the storm and all areas of our district will see some type of precipitation,” said Gough. Motorists are urged to use caution during the winter event, as conditions could change rapidly, and remember to always buckle up and put your phone down.
