Commission Awards Contract for Improvements on Missouri Route 154 in Monroe and Ralls Counties

HANNIBAL – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission recently awarded a contract to Emery Sapp & Sons, of St. Louis, Missouri, for two resurfacing projects on nearly 22.5 miles of Missouri Route 154 in Monroe and Ralls counties. The total awarded contract amount is $3,592,854. Information on the specific locations are as follows:

  • Resurfacing of nearly 13.5  miles on Route 154 in Monroe County from U.S. Route 24 in Paris to Missouri Route 107  ($2,543,548.02)
  • Resurfacing of nine miles on Route 154 in Monroe/Ralls counties from Missouri Route 107 to Missouri Route 19 near Perry ($1,049,306.43)

“Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zone while the work is completed” explained Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer Brian Untiedt.   “A more specific schedule on this project will be shared after the contractor provides the plan for completing the work,” Untiedt added.

Work on this project will take place in 2020 and is set to be completed by fall.  When a start date is established, MoDOT will alert the public about the project through signs, news releases and social media.
